Dominion Dealer Solutions Employee Recounts Experience with the Cincinnati Reds
by Peyton Hoffman
Last week, Victoria Bowman, Inventory Marketing Consultant for Dominion Dealer Solutions, was chosen to sing the national anthem at a Cincinnati Reds home game. We asked Victoria to fill us in on this once in a lifetime experience. Here's what she had to say:
While I've had the opportunity to sing for over 25 years, being selected for the national anthem at the Cincinnati Reds last week was one of my favorite experiences. It was amazing to stand in that stadium, with thousands of spectators, and honor the brave men & women that have served our country.
With the encouragement of Greg Holman of Holman Motors, I submitted my bio, pic, and audition CD to the Reds in early 2012. Since Greg's a sponsor of the Reds, he made sure my material got into the right hands. That being said, it was still a shock and humbling moment to be chosen.
I've been asked many times since last week, "Was it hard to sing in front of so many people?" My answer is a resounding "Yes"! Actually, the most difficult thing was overcoming the echo of the stadium. I struggled with that starting out, but finished up just fine.
We were treated so kindly by Cincinnati Reds' staff. They escorted me and my family around the stadium, the Clubhouse and the Diamond Club; taking lots of pictures for us! Many thanks to Greg Holman for prompting me to audition for this opportunity and to the Cincinnati Reds for being so welcoming. Thank you for sharing in the excitement. I hope the opportunity comes around again someday!
|Dominion Dealer Solutions is real lucky to not just have a great person but a great singer!!!! Good Job Victoria!!!!|
