The Launch of Unfair Advantage:Glen Garvin
After the Launch of Unfair Advantage|
When I first heard the idea to have 17 authors co-write a book to the automotive community, the words cynical and skeptical would have been an understatement on how I felt about it. I didnít know how well it would come together or how this many authors could write cohesive or even non-conflicting information. Could it flow together? Could it make sense? Could we even get it published?
As we went through the process of organizing the content and writing the chapters, the outcome still seemed a bit far-fetched. The publishers really seemed to know what they were doing and Tracy Meyers and Brian Pasch were able to find common themes to put the pieces together. Their guidance and terrific works from some great authors brought the book together and it started to all make sense.
As I type this, the book has hit #1 in many categories and top best seller lists. Iím impressed with how much acclaim the book has gotten and how many dealers are proclaiming its value. Yes, the sales volume has blown away my wildest expectations but it is also the value and importance of the book that has really won me over.
At this point Iím thankful to George Nenni and Dominion for getting me involved in the project and for the guidance of Tracy and Brian for their ideation and creation. The experience will be one Iíll never forget and I am forever grateful for the opportunity.
